December 2021 - Bend in Starry

This month's candle is a new version of an old idea--gouged out shapes filled with contrasting wax. I didn't want to do anything too corny for the season (or anything that would be really exclusively seasonal and no one would want any other time). So I went with something pretty simple and ubiquitous (which I was bound to do at sometime anyway).

I created a darker version of my regular blue and then carved out each star before filling it in with white wax. I know it isn't revolutionary but I love the way it looks and this kind of candle is exactly what I had in mind when I started this Patreon. I'll never offer it widely because it's more labor-intensive than my other candles but it's a blast to do.
